Finding Freedom in Your Daily Routine: Mindful Practices for Entrepreneurs 🧘‍♀️

Do you ever have those days where you feel like from the minute you wake up you’re crashing into your day at 100 miles an hour?

Rushing from to task desperately trying to get everything done and instead just ending the day feeling drained and super unproductive? After all that effort you wonder where your time went!

I’ve been there, it’s no fun feeling like all your hard work hasn’t amounted to much. But what if I told you that a simple daily wellness routine could be the key to unlocking not just your productivity, but also a sense of freedom and joy in your day?

There is one thing us entrepreneurs value above pretty much all else when it comes to business…our freedom. Otherwise we would just go and get a steady pay check and work for someone else, right?

Many people think of routines as a set of rules that bind them, but the truth is, a mindful routine can be your ticket to freedom. A mindful routine is about creating a framework that helps you to thrive! It creates space for freedom and creativity because we can move into our day more intentionally and give our minds and bodies what they need to feel fresh, energised and productive.

So what does a mindful routine look like? Let’s help you create your one of your own…

☀️ Start your day with intention

Imagine waking up a little earlier, sipping your favourite tea ☕️ (ok for me it’s a coffee 100%) and spending just 10 minutes in quiet reflection. Doesn’t that sound great? This small act can set a positive tone for your entire day.

And it can be any moment of pause, perhaps it’s spending 3 minutes doing some deep breathing (check out my youtube guided mini breathing exercise) before you get out of bed. Or going for a short stroll around the block, or writing down 3 things you’re grateful for.

Whatever it is for you, find a small moment to pause at the start of your day and it will have a positive domino effect on the rest….

So if you’re going to start anywhere start here. Your mornings. Add in a mindful moment and watch the rest flow with so much more ease.

🧘‍♀️ Breaks to recharge

Have you ever noticed how a quick walk outside can clear your mind?

Or just getting up from your desk and changing scenery by going to another space can help give you a little re set?

Schedule in micro breaks through the day for both your mind and body and you will be more productive and be able to work with more ease- which means? Getting more done in less time so you can finish earlier and go do what lights you up outside your business too!

Mini movement breaks, switching working to another environment, shutting your laptop and just taking 5 minutes to just ‘be’- with no stimulus coming in, nothing to do, nothing to process or think about (that means no scrolling too sorry). Find micro moments where you can take a mental break and you’ll move through the day more mindfully, and end it with a much clearer head so you can relax into the evening.

📝 Reflection time

Taking just 15 minutes at the end of your day to jot down what went well and what you’re grateful for can be a game-changer. It helps you celebrate your wins and stay connected to your larger goals.

It can help you see where you’re progressing, how you can better support yourself tomorrow and wrap up your day on a positive note so your mind can start to unwind and let go for the evening and get the mental rest it deserves.

Make it your own…

By incorporating these mindful moments into your day you can more easily balance work tasks with self care and time to nourish your well-being. Remember, taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury; it’s essential for maintaining your energy and creativity. When you prioritise your well-being, you’ll find you can get more work done (and higher quality work!) in less time.

Meaning? More time to do what lights you up outside your business too!

As with anything when it comes to your health & well-being, you are unique, so what works for you might look different to the suggestions I have made.

Your routine is your own, and it should reflect who you are and what you value. I always encourage my clients, and I now encourage you, to trust you know what is best for you. There is no one right way to be mindful or one activity that works for everyone.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and adjust as you go along. After all, finding freedom in your daily routine is all about creating a life that truly resonates with you! So you want it to be something you enjoy!

Pick just one of the steps mentioned and start to think about how you can implement it into your day tomorrow…good luck!
